An open letter to Delta.

I had the opportunity to fly Delta Airlines recently from JFK in New York to Cleveland and was pretty amazed at the pleasant experience on board the aircraft. Another story of how in any organisations, it's people who essentially make the difference at the end of the day.

A copy of the letter that I sent them after the flight :

Dear Delta Representative,

I had the opportunity to fly Delta on July 7th,Monday from JFK to Cleveland(Delta 5659 Operated by Comair, 12.55 pm flight). This being the 5th time I flew Delta in the last 6 months,I was not expecting anything new.

I don't remember the exact name of the flight steward but I am here to commend the exceptional service provided by him. The passion with which he was serving passengers was clearly visible. I understand that operating a low cost flight is a pretty challenging task these days but I was amused at the way people serving you on such flights can end up making a big difference to the experience.
Little things, like coming back to ask if we need anything else to eat, blankets in case we felt cold, saying that ever simple 'Thank you' to one and all, frequent updates on the flight & an ever smiling face...some ppl just get it all right.

The next time I choose to fly any airline inside the US, I assure you that Delta would be high on my list of choices.

Thank You. You guys were simply great !

Yep, the particular flight steward made the difference in this case though.
Couple of times when I travelled to India, took Emirates. Though it's all glossy...never saw this kind of passion at work.
