Nice pic Ranjit. I had seen the Enola Gay (the plane that dropped the a-bomb) in Air & Space museum in Wash DC. Is this the same plane? Or did they use 2 different planes in Nagasaki and Hiroshima? - Sukumar
Yep sir, they used 'Enola Gay' in Hiroshima and 'Bockscar' in Nagasaki. Both were B-29 superfortress bombers.
And yes, Enola Gay is in the Smithsonian museum in DC.But technically, it was the Bockscar which ended WW-2 cos Nagasaki was bombed after Hiroshima.
Thanks Ranjit. BTW, my blog url has been changed to http://www.sastwingees.org can you please change the URL in your blogroll. Thanks for including my blog in your blogroll. - Sukumar
